The brief for this assignment was to create a comic based off some song lyrics.

This was taken from my thesis comic on an experiment involving rats in a maze.

These idea behind this series is that how we perceive the behaviour of other individuals can have a great effect on how we interpret that behaviour. Furthermore, our interpretations can have a subliminal impact on the individuals in question as well, for better or for worse.

The true significance of this study comes from the relevance it can have in the classroom today. Our subliminal influence on rats in a maze could seemingly have similar impacts on how we perceive the behaviour of students in the classroom.

This here is a wordless biographical piece on the life of Jimi Hendrix. My aim here was to create parallels between his upbringing and his natural escape into music.

This piece is based off an experience with derealization, which is basically the sensation that your life and the world it operates in isn’t real. Reality becomes more akin to watching yourself on a screen rather than feeling like you yourself are part of it.

A good way to process strange experiences than to make strange comics out of them.
